MICAELA TAYLOR'S ALL STAR BAND VIRTUAL PREMIER (Film)

Contemporary dance meets Grammy Award-winning musicians in the VPAC’s first documentary short film featuring Micaela Taylor’s All-Star Band with DJ Logic, Vernon Reid, Mono Neon, and Daru Jones. The film includes footage of the world premiere of Taylor’s piece, “winner.” Along with the actual performance, watch the behind-the-scenes process of the dancers and musicians coming together to create new work and prepare for three days of performances. The experience was particularly poignant because for most of the artists as it was their first time back in a theater since the start of the pandemic.
